Why we build pipelines, not edits
Editing at volume is an infrastructure problem wearing a creative costume. Here is how Aqueduct thinks about it.
Most people who publish video every day do not have an editing problem. They have a flow problem.
The first cut of anything is craft. The four-hundredth cut of the same format, same intro, same lower thirds, same loudness target, same three aspect ratios, is repetition. When repetition is done by hand it is slow, inconsistent and expensive, and the people doing it stop enjoying the craft.
Aqueduct exists for the repetition.
What a pipeline is
A pipeline is the route footage takes from a camera card to a published post, with every repeatable decision made once and encoded. Ingest, naming, transcription, assembly, brand, QC, delivery. An editor steps in where judgement is needed: the story, the joke, the cut that makes it land. And steps out where it is not.
Why bespoke
Every team’s route is different: the cameras, the storage, the house style, where approvals happen, what “done” means. Off-the-shelf tools optimise for the average team. We map yours and build to it, then run it with you until it is boring.
What changes
Turnaround drops from days to hours. Consistency stops depending on who was on shift. And editors get their afternoons back for the work that needed them in the first place.
If that sounds like you, get a pipeline audit.
